Pardon the brevity - I'm adding to this page as I go.
Aplix - A brand of hook and loop tape (like Velcro).
FOE - Fold Over Elastic. This is a wider version of the elastic that tends to appear on undergarments. Like the name implies, it folds over the fabric (much like bias tape) to finish the edge of the garment while providing the "pull" of elastic.

KAM Snaps - this is a brand of "plastic" snaps used in many diapers. They are made of poly resin. The caps of the snaps look similar to thumb tacks. The studs and sockets have a hole in the center that the prong from the snaps is pressed through. The two sides are held together when the prong is flattened down and "mushrooms". These snaps can only be applied with a special pair of snap pliers or with a snap press that is designed to work with the snaps. Two sources that I have purchased snaps from are Assunta Store (based in China) and KAMSnaps.com (based in California).
Microfleece - This is a thin polyester fleece (like polar fleece) that is used for the inner of diapers. Used for liner fabric in diapers because of its soft feel, ability wick moisture away from the child's skin, and ease of cleaning. This is the type of fabric used in Fuzzi Bunz diapers. A brand name of Microfleece is "Cuddle Dry."
PUL - Fabric that has a thin (generally 1 - 2 mil) polyurethane film bonded to it. PUL is generally made of knit polyester, but cotton knits are also used. A common brand name of PUL is Fabrite, but other brands of PUL are available. Joann Fabrics carries 1 mil PUL with their Utility Fabrics as does Hancock's - you may have to ask for "Diaper Cloth."
Suedecloth - a soft polyester fabric that has a fuzzy side that appears like suede from a distance (but not up close like Ultrasuede). Used for liner fabric in diapers because of its soft feel, ability wick moisture away from the child's skin, and ease of cleaning. This is the type of fabric used in Bum Genius diapers. It is available at Joann Fabrics under the name "Alova Suedecloth" (the costume-weight is great) & at Hancock's as "Buttersuede."
